Disc style master lock #40

I was wondering if anyone has an easy method to get this lock open (ie cutting, no picking methods), keys were lost, my manager at work decided she wanted to try and hammer it off so now we got a smashed up lock. We tried a reciprocating saw, that just got caught up on it and jackhammered her arm. Tried bolt cutters but cant get enough muscle power on it cut it. This is a heavy duty little lock. We were able to cut off some of the casing for it with the cutters but that soon became useless. The store i work at is pretty cheap so they dont want to spend money on a lock smith. They just want to cut it off. I have a dremel, but i dont think the blades that came with it are strong enough, even cutting plastic or while working my car blades will crack and fly off. Anyone know of anything that'll cut through it fairly easy? The stores biggest bolt cutters are about 15" long, so they seemed pretty useless, and rusty as all hell.

I appreciate any help, Thanks!

would heating up the lock with those magna torches help and then try cutting? I work at kmart so as everyone knows, they have squat for hardware.

OMG You should try an acetylene cutting torch! Seriously at this point, a fine tooth hacksaw and some patience is probably your best approach.

Go get a grinder off the shelf. If they won't use one or don't have one then sit where the lock is on your break and laugh at the manager as she wails on it with a hammer some more.

AFAIK it's hardened so they would need an abrasive coated hacksaw blade and I doubt the blue light special place has any.
