because i'm trying to learn to become a locksmith...

Until you actually are one, or at least a boni-fide student, you're probably not going to get authorized access to secured sites (for obvious reasons). Not trying to discourage you. That's just the way it is. That's why they ask for that info.

Post here for a while. Once people get to know you well enough and you establish a good reputation, I'm sure several here will be more willing to answer those kinds of questions (privately), myself included.

then try and contact MARC at "The National Locksmith" to see if he will authorize you. He is a pretty nice guy to deal with. snipped-for-privacy@AOL.COM

g'day

Well when I said "know" I was speaking in a broad sense of the word.

I listened to this group about 6 months or so before I went to the TNL site and I learned just as much here as I did on TNL concerning stuff a locksmith wanabee would need to know; installing locks, rekeying, lock repair, pick opens, impressioning, dealing with the public, pricing, covering my rear, and the like. Like you said: walk then run. Good luck.
