Urgent! How can i be an independent consultant of ANSYS, Please help, thanks

Dear all, I am very good at ANSYS and SOLID works, and othe engineering analysis tools. I am good at writting APDL. I already have developed some ANSYS based programs that help people conduct structural integrity assessment efficiently and quickly.

My question: by which way I can be an independent consultant so I can use my expertise to do something for other companies? Do I need to have a company (registeration in the web site), or kind of ads????

Thanks a lot in advance,

the short answer is that if you have to ask how, you aren't qualified to be a consultant

the slightly longer answer is that you have to build up a stable of contacts who are sufficiently impressed with your work that they're interested in hiring you. Someday, one of them will make you an offer. At that moment, you have to decide if you want to be a consultant...

Use first name, initials or something. Not the software you use.

You need to think more in terms of what you can do, not what SW you can use. You want to be a Consultant in Structural analysis/engineering USING ANSYS, Solid Works and other CAE software.

You'll almost certainly need to be a Professional Engineer (PE) to be a consultant. That's for the US. Other countries surely have a registration process that does a similar thing.

Consider working for a bigger company and/or a consulate firm as steps to get to be an independent consultant.
