Freight shipping

Oct 09, 2004 8 Replies

Maybe you guys can help me out. I need to ship a machine tool (2400#) from NY to Texas. Can anyone recommend the lowest cost freight option, other than driving it down there myself (lol).

These folks have always had the best rates when i need to ship machines.

Best Regards Tom.

It SCARES me that you would want to ship something like FRIGHT....

Try Forward Air, if you can get it to JFK and someone can pick it up from the Texas terminal. They are sort of a PITA to deal with, you need exact money orders, etc., but they are relatively cheap.

Last time I called Forward Air their prices had risen DRASTICALLY. - GWE

I'd kinda think that shipping 2400 pounds of cast iron air freight would be pricey.

Forward Air is not air freight.

Still a good dealer cheaper than Yellow, but Yellow is WAY more flexible.
