Dude, I don't got oodles of time, but wait 'til I tell you 'bout my exploits with Home Depot/Corporate.... HD is becoming a little more amenable to customer feedback after that muthafucka Nardelli walked off w/ $211 million, and with local newscasts here in Westchester talking about bidniss picking up in local hardware stores due to HD disgust.
Of course, all the chains are the same: Staples, HD, $tarshmuk$, B&N--each takes turns shoving it in. Some of us sphincter up and resist, while others self-lubricate as they grab their own ankles.

Just before copper took a climb, I bought some 3/0 THHN for $1.76/ft from them, when I was quoted as high as $5+/ft from some outfits. Saved a ton of money on the 260' I purchased, Even the electrical wholesale house I'd been buying from was about a half buck/ft. higher.
Mind you, I'm not suggesting that everything they have to sell is a bargain, but they've done good by us as we've been building our house. You just have to be careful-----some of their deals *aren't*!
None of that comes as a surprise. It's the American way----rip off as much as you can with as little effort-----make every deal a retirement plan-------demand 8 hours pay for 5 hours effort. It's not just corporate America--------far too many of the common people share the same philosophy.
On the $tarshmuk$ front, I'll never get it. Who, in their right mind, would pay the price they ask for a burned cup of coffee?
In life, unless you're made of plastic, you have to learn to shy away from fashionable things----where exorbitant prices abound. I'm anything but a social climber----don't really give a damn if I'm in style. I just do my thing and hold my head up high. We're still paying 75 cents for a cup of coffee at our breakfast spot. I won't pay more than $1----I'd go without first.
