Too bad it was the kid. Either one of those parents could have fed that snake for a couple years.

My vote is for conviction. They starved the snake and provided a tasty morsel it thought was a bonus meal.

No door, close proximity, insufficient food? It's a no-brainer, literally and figuratively.

Yea, I live in florida so this has been all over the news.

From what I've heard also, the mother or MIL of the parents actually offered to take the snake, or at least buy it food. Now that could just be hearsay, but I did hear it on the radio.

Did she make that offer before or after the child's death? I'm guessing it was before.

So, would that be a Darwin Award by proxy?

Too bad they hadn't already found a way to accept the award themselves.
