OT: Computer Prob

Windoze ME screen saver problem-recently developed after 5 years. When I set the WAIT Time for Screen Saver in Desktop properties, it works at whatever wait time I set. The Screen Saver is set to Blank Screen, not password protected. If I reboot, the time reverts to 1 minute, and the screen goes off immediately on boot up unless the mouse is constantly moved. Everything OK after I reset the Wait Time, until next boot. My other ME 'puter *was* doing this a while back, then cured itself, or maybe I set something that cured it. Ideas- I mean besides the usual sneer at ME Thanks JR Dweller in the cellar

I am certainly no expert on this but it sounds to me like you may have a screen saver in the BIOS that kicks in before the Windows one is loaded. Might try to get into BIOS Setup and see what is there.

Set the screen saver option to 'none'.
