Record and Paramo vices

Their fear was that if Record's foundry was bombed it would pretty much end vice production. Parramore is my mother's maiden name, F Parramore her grandfather, by the 1970s while the patterns were still the same the Paramo vice was superior as it used a better grade cast iron than the far more mass produced Record. Ironically, Paramo Tools went bust in December 2002 and about two weeks after that Record announced the closure of their foundry, this ended vice production in Britain. Paramo also produced the Bugatti vice for the owners club in the 1980s.
