Ed, That is a Manson Lathe made in California about 30-50 years ago. The following is a link to a website with EVERYTHING you could ever want to know about these lathes. They have become quite collectible (based on the very high ebay prices for ones in good condition). There are several models ........ also versions the names Duo Lathe and Masterson Lathe.
