I was once at a party where someone threw a basketball on the fire. The boom was pretty dramatic. I wouldn't have wanted to be there if it was a keg instead!
Best wishes,
Chris

At my college they dorm hung those from the pine trees as giant christmas ornaments.

Nope! Just make the kegs too big to be lifted onto a fire. :-)
The last stainless keg I had was marked as being rated for 58 psi maximum, not even usefull as a air pig.

I was at the aftermath of one boiler explosion. Kicked all of the windows out of the building, which was about 300 feet long. Also blew out the facing windows of adjacent buildings. And it blew a set of steel double doors off, across a parking lot, through a chain link fence, across another parking lot, and well into the side of a van. Cracked brick walls all over the place. I was about a half a mile away when it happened, knocked me down.
