I'll be interested in seeing if anyone else knows a supplier. A solution however is to get the stick on reading lenses and just put a set in sunglasses. Alternatively, he could buy bifocal sunglasses, such as:

Which is exactly what I did to my Ray-Ban polaroids. The expense of prescription glasses, just for tying flies onto lines with my fishing glasses, wasn't worth it.

UVEX. And they are pretty reasonably priced. We sold thousands of them when I worked at Tool & Supply. We usually had a couple hundred in stock at any given time. They are temple length and lens angle adjustable too.

McMaster Carr has them.

I don't see a Uvex product that combines sunglass and magnifying capability. The Seismic Reading Magnifier is the only magnifying product that I saw on the site but it is available in clear lens only.
