Chuck(s) wanted

I've just acquired another Ward capstan, it's a 1A and has some collets with it but no chuck.

Apart from balancing up the subsidence on the house caused by the other machinery, I'd like to get this one up and running with a decent chuck, one that I could also fit onto the 2A as well.

For those who haven't played with the Wards, the collet chuck can be removed and a chuck fitted in place, and with a fully operation front and rear toolpost as standard, the lathe can be very usefully used for general turning with the capstan stuff moved back away from the front end of the machine.

So, anyone got a decent 8" chuck for sale, backplate not needed as I'll have to get a cynical trader to turn one up for me :-))

But you'll only need the collets for all the orders for studs and nuts that are poised awaiting the news that one is running :-) ttfn Roland
