eBay Madness

Would you bid if a seller had these payment terms (!!!) :

"I don't accept pay pal,no cash,no cash on collection or other payment method... The deal will go by ebay to protect both.Ebay will send you a guarantee message with payment details... And only after the payment is confirmed you can come to collect the item or to to view it... You cannot view the item before the payment is clear... I hope you understand this and if you don't agree don't place your bid... Thank's"

It's this item:

Not only a very obvious scam, but the person whose account has been hijacked has put a note to that effect yet people STILL are bidding.

If it looks too good to be true then it probably is, certainly in this case.

AWEM

What is rather less understandable is why the said person hasn't cancelled the auction. Very curious!

Regards, Tony

Once there are bids on the auction, it's not possible to cancel within the last 24 hours. The listing was a 24 hour auction. Nettie got her account hacked and had quite a bit of difficulty as a result. The first thing that happens when you inform Ebay is that your account is suspended. You then need to wait while Ebay investigates the problem. Took a week for her to get her account working again.

- and also, why the description details above the photograph include the message not to bid etc.
