again ??????
The chap who won it last time wants me to ship it to Hong Kong. Something I cant be bothered to do as I really dont have the time to mess around making a crate for it. Bob

did you specify worldwide shipping?
my reaction to such requests is I'll ship it at YOUR expense, and that includes my time and money used in making crates and getting it to a shipping agent if needed...
around making
I sold a light - a grotty nothing special industrial lathe light - on eBay last year. Never said anything about world wide shipping. Some absolutely mad chinaman in Hong Kong with a fetish for odd lamps bought in, and the next thing I knew there was a courier knocking on the door with an envelope full of very crisp £20's saying "can I have the lamp please" - needless to say he got the lamp !
AWEM
I used to really want one of these when they first appeared. Was it late fifties early sixties? I saw that one on Ebay the last time it was on and thought about bidding it but decided against it. Can they do everything the adverts used to say they could do,or can they do it but with a lot of setting up? Mark.
I was interested because of my connection with Antarctica etc but also from the one that the late Jack Radford made as 'elevating heads' to fit his Myford Super 7. He didn't have a milling machine. Again, I was looking at 'Artificer' on the Lathes photos and realised that he must have used something similar in the Royal Navy.
With advancing old age and a very small workshop, I can see the usefullness but Bob's would need a 4 jaw etc etc.

I don't recall saying worldwide the first time around. My problem is time, not enough to spare to ponce around packing such an item regardless of getting payment, I have several large jobs on that consume days, evenings and weekends, Aint getting any younger !!! There may be a chuck lying around that can go with it. Bob
So they caught the bugger then?
