OK I was only reading the text, which describes the collet in the Kress spindle nicely! Actually going back to the abstract I think that it is almost impossible to extract what the patent is actually about. Perhaps the first think that should happen with patents is that they are re-writen in plain english :)
Which proves the stupidity of US patents.
They patent idea's that have been done before and leave the lawyers to fight it out.
Thank Christ no one takes them seriously.........
After some pratt got a patent a couple of years ago for how to swing on a garden swing it highlights their unworkable system.
