Midlands Model Engineering exhibition

Is anybody planning to go this year?

I've got Friday booked as holiday, but am debating whether to go on Friday or Saturday.

I had intended to go by train (Chiltern from Marylebone) on Friday but left it too late to get a cheap ticket like I did last year (off peak will get me there too late). Then I thought about going Sunday but as well as disruption to the trains their is no shuttle bus between Leamington Spa station and the show on Sunday. Plan c is to drive up early Sunday morning, getting to the show when it opens, going to most of the lectures, stay over night and visit the show again on the Monday for the 11am talk before coming home. It's the talks and the close proximity of the model vehicles outside that make this show special.

I take it that you're looking for carbide ones, since that seems to be most of Jenny's stock?

Send us a shopping list and maximum price (if relevant), either on the group or by email.

She has lots of HSS ones from Switzerland now. They look a bit unusual, but precise - I haven't tried them as I need carbide for the hard stuff.

Thanks Mark!

I'm looking for three 10mm and one 8mm carbide ones, last month they were all £4.00 each but I'd pay a bit more.

Thing is, quite a few had chipped ends, so if you could have a check before buying.

Ta,

Trotted in to the show with my pre-bought ticket. Went straight to Jenny's stand (quite easy, it's near the entrance). Can't see any decent endmills. Did see some of the "unusual" ones but no carbide ones. So I ask Jenny... "We're out of them at the moment, but should have some back in a couple of weeks"

I did try!
