Model Engineering magazines

Gentlemen,

Daily my ears get more sore from the ear bashing I am getting from storing at least 40 years of ME in our caravan and as we are about to use it in the next few weeks I am offering FOC the whole lot from around the 40s to the middle 80s. Some are bound most are loose, there are complete and incomplete years. If anybody is interested then email me off NG.

Gentlemen,

I forgot to mention that as a service engineer with a van I move around the country so could deliver, for instance next week I am in Ports mouth and Sheffield.

It's a pity to loose them after collecting them for so long; would scanning them before disposing of them not be practical? Perhaps just the articles etc rather than the entire magazine, although some of the advertisments can become interesting as time passes. I was faced with a similar dilemma for many years worth of New Scientist until they made a searchable online archive available. I gues that scanning 40 years worth of ME could be a VERY long weekends work; but once done then you have them for good. Has anyone tried anything similar?

If you get no takers then why not try TEE next time you are passing near Leamington. No doubt what they will pay would barely cover the cost of petrol but if you are already travelling past on business even that would be a bonus.
