Removing dried out grease in grease lines

Having just acquired a mill (elliot 00) which has been left standing for at
least couple of years all of the grease has dried up and since this had
grease lines from remote grease nipples I am faced with tny pipes full of
candle wax.- Any hints / techniques on freeing them up e.g. heating ,
solvents etc... that have worked well for you
