Greets,

I've decided that flicking through textbooks to be laborious and slow, even with knowledge of the library system, where certain books can be found, etc. it is still quite a time consuming process (not to mention having to visit the univserity library).

I'm after some bookmarks (web bookmarks, not book bookmarks) or a page with a listing of a large number of polymer, polymer science, and more specifically, polymer analysis and curing techniques.

Is there a large database around with easily accessible (and searchable) polymerization mechanisms and reactions (for individual polymers)?

I have probably set my hopes too high, but as of now my bookmarks have 0 polymer specific websites. (theres a few materials sci/eng sites there which deal a bit with polymers). I'm after a more chemistry driven approach to polymer science. (i'm a materials/polymer engineering undergrad, with little polymer chemistry (and in particular the chemistry which drives polymerization and curing reactions) and would like to broaden my horizons greatly in that area).

Regards, Derek

I should probably add...

i can be contacted at snipped-for-privacy@xxxxxiinetxx.net.au

(remove the x's, sorry... spam bot crawlers annoy me greatly)

or preferably, a reply here.

Stick with the library, I still do. Not only is more of the information that you are after there than on the 'net, but there is also more of the information that you need but don't know that you need it yet! Browse and expand your horizons beyond your narrow little major! All the big advances have been made by people using info from outside the field. Specialist never get anywhere.
