Hello All,
I'm looking for software to start designing a piece of mechanical equipment. Any ideas on which products would work for me with a limited CAD experience and not wanting to spend too much money?
TIA, Darryl

Might look into PTC's Pro Desktop or Alibre (both in the neighborhood of $1,000 US and fairly easy to learn). Pro Desktop is a nice program, for the money, with decent prismatic part modeling, assembly and documentation capabilities. Not sure about Alibre, personally.
Try Solid Works. Not too expensive. Powerfull and easy to use.....
