LDRS Parking fee issue

This post is to anyone who wants to listen, EXCEPT the anonymous posters/trolls/antagonists. As a group, you don't count.

I would personally vouch for anyone and everyone in BRS. The parking fee was no secret and is to defray the landowner's cost of tearing up the parking field. It's one thing when you have a two-day launch where 25 cars are in the parking area that are pretty much static. When you have whatever multiple of that including large SUV's/trucks/pickups - many with sizable trailers - constantly flowing in and out of the parking area, it beats the hell out of it.

This is not some dump. It's a well-groomed facility. It's not left to rot for untold months/years at a clip. Far as I see it, if the landowner winds up putting a few pennies in his pocket, so be it. He may put several dozen man-hours into regrooming what we know as the parking area.

Our club's parking area is sodded BUT the fringe sod can be reasonably driven on (I believe some of that is used for a "test" area). I'm not talking about 360's and sod burnouts; I mean parked on or an occasional U-turn. We're lucky in that respect. BRS doesn't have that luxury.

Please note that there were rare instances of "complaints" about the parking fee. In the small single digits. Most of them weren't complaints either; they were inquiries about clarification. Other than that, no one balked at the fee. Also note, I did NOT get that tidbit from anyone directly affiliated with BRS.
