Need transition section

Hi, Do any of you know where I can find a transition section to reduce a standard LOC 5.5 inch tube to a standard LOC 4 inch tube (reasonably priced)? Balsa Machining can't make one for me and I'm very nervous about the styrofoam one I tried to make.

Thanks.

I would have said LOC, but I just checked their website and it looks like they don't have that size (!)... I'd use centering rings, make a conical shroud out of thick paper such as "bristol board", and glass over it with a couple of layers of light (2-3 oz.) glass cloth and epoxy resin.

Boz, This may or may not help, please take it for what it's worth. I made a transition that was very strong. I used centering rings in the 5.5 and ran the 4 incher down inside it. Then I made the transition angle out of heavy paper and fiberglass. It wasn't a sepatation point of the rocket, but that could be done also.

Why not call LOC? years ago Ron would make anything ya needed. I haven't done any business with Barry, but I've heard that he'll do custom jobs too.
