I'd like to hear some comments on painting the 2157 kit, as opposed to the
2001 kit. After finally completing construction of our 4th Saturn V, but 1st
2157 kit, it's obviously going to be quite different to paint, especially if it's fully assembled. I found the 2001 kit to be fairly simple.
I think it's a little amusing that they have changed the detailed painting instructions from where and how to paint the 2001, to simply listing in the
2157 which part is to be what color.
When we do the next one, I'll do most of the painting before assembly and then do touch up if needed. I'll tell you this, I'd swap the 2157 kit for the 2001 in a heart beat.
