Problems at Blacksky?

Hi all,

does anyone know if BlackSky have ceased trading / shut up shop or if anything majorly bad has happened to Scott Bartel since LDRS?

I've got an unresolved problem - an undelivered AltAcc - and I've had no reply to multiple emails since the end of July. I've had confirmation from USPS that only the sender of the goods can claim for reimbursement if the package doesn't arrive (not much good me trying even if I could claim, as I don't have an invoice / receipt other than in PayPal). The last I heard was that Scott offered to ship an AltAcc to me while he sorted out with USPS over the missing package. Since then, nothing.

I've sent emails from addresses in 3 different domains (home & 2 major corporates I work for) to work around the possibility that BlackSky's ISP had blocked one of my email domains. I've had delivery receipts & read receipts back from the emails, but no replies.

I'm currently 150 dollars out of pocket and the guy holding the money isn't talking. The cash isn't the end of the world, neither is not having the Altacc, to be honest, but it's galling that a vendor knows there's a problem that only he can resolve for the customer, but doesn't even respond to emails. Even an "I'm real busy, I'll get back to you when I have time" holding email would have been OK with me. I'm a patient guy, but 4 months of no contact is trying my patience a little. Especially as it appears I have absolutely no path to legal redress on this as I'm not a US resident. This is pushing towards the seriously-sucky to non-existant end of the customer service spectrum.

Obviously, if something bad's happened to Scott, the hiatus is understandable, but nobody's mentioned that anything untoward has gone off, and a number of folks on TRF have also reported having no answers to their emails to Blacksky, leading me to wonder if they have stopped trading?

Anyone know one way or the other please?

Thanks

G.

Does he have a telephone?

If so, give him a ring and see if anyone answers.

He does indeed, but at this stage of the game, I'd prefer communications in writing, for obvious reasons.

Scott responds to telephone communication.. Like "many" of the rocketry venders, he requires prodding sometimes..

I've just heard from Scott, he's alive & well and will be dealing with my issue very shortly.

The new stuff Blacksky are planning sounds incredibly cool too - can't wait for it to hit the market ;)
