The sad (and alarming) thing is, that only makes it subject to ATF regulation. It's still not a "weapon of mass destruction". But nowadays the feds are even applying that term to pipe bombs. :(

That's weird - I thought "weapons of mass destruction" referred to large-scale stuff like nuking a city, or large area chem/bio/incendiary attacks... you know, the sort of thing the Allies did to Hiroshima and Dresden and other "enemy" cities during World War 2. I suspect the author of that video presentation was confusing "weapon of mass destruction" and "destructive device".

Was there any law or regulation reference cited for this so-called "official Federal definition"?

I don't doubt for a moment that there are ways for diseases to be genetically tracked, but as shown with the previous anthrax letters, there was no conclusive evidence on where the anthrax originated for some time. This probably had something to do with the fact that this was a research bio-organism that was militarized (I must mention from previous post again, this is publicly available information.) I'm going from memory here so please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that this was also the investigator's conclusion?

I must say though, A bio-terrorist attack could be placed in any number of locations, or mediums if you will, to cause wide spread panic and general distress with so many people. Look at what the recent events of the green onion Hepatitis-A, and the black widow grapes has done. I am willing to bet that there are stores of the fruits and vegetables that are perfectly safe and are literally rotting away. I am also willing to bet there has been a VERY large increase in hepatitis lab tests medical bills, and arachnophobics going to the ER claiming spider bite by black widow.

If they don't define it the current practice of "zero tolerance" can be applied and a child's firecracker used for a religious display, currently legal, can be criminalized as a weapon of mass destruction.

Then why doesn't he just walk into the fair and start spreading the stuff? Why bother with a delivery system when he has himself? This guy is dead from stupidity or long before he gets to the fair. Now which is it? Rocket or a fanatic willing to kill himself?

each strain of anthrax (that is what you were speaking of correct? or have you opened the field to all bioagents now?) yields it's origin......while no one might know it was weaponized in Pakistan they will know the strain originated from a certain educational institution in whatever country of it began processing in......

I want the government to stop making policy based on FUD, and I want you to stop helping them spread FUD.

How about he fact that BOs could be launched with shotgun shells ?? ok let us start with more realdy avalible items then rockets.

For most backwoods and even city boys, buying a $120 dollar shotgun and doing "reloading " with what you are talking about is more understood then them tring to even fire an alpha III when requested to.

try the test. take a home grown boy and ask him to reload a shot gun or a rocket. I can tell you which he can do quicker.
