Aaarrghhh! I just trod on my OA-4M canopy!

#$%!)&*^!! I just trod on my *almost* completed canopy for a 1:48 TA-4K conversion from the Monogram OA-4M.... it's broken into 3 pieces!

Does anyone out there have a 'spare' canopy (main) from the Monogram kit that they'd be prepared to sell or swap, please?

Or, failing that, is there an after-market canopy available- I have yet to here of a good one.

TIA, Ian

That's what you get for modelling on the floor, or were you dancing on the table? :)

Stuff like that happens to me all the time. I think my Yak 15 landing gear ended up in the vacuum cleaner and into the garbage.

What i would do in your case, i'd glue the canopy together, fill it with putty and use this putty-mold to vacform a new one. I made an extremely crude vacform by attaching a perforated piece of plastic on the vacuum cleaner suction hole; blutacked the mold on that platform; heated some clear plastic on a candle; turned on the vacuum cleaner and rapidly placed the heated plastic on the mold. The result was s*it. But 5-6 tests later it worked fine.

Well said. A lot of modeling requires a few tries to get it right. Cheers,

The Keeper (of too much crap!)

Hmmm, have been considering something like that- might give it a go... thanks, Ian

is it still in production or did i miss the obvious?

is the kit still in production?

I don't see it in the Squadron 2004 catalogue.
