Alclad question

I'm pretty sure my wife is getting me a 1/32 scale resin F-80 for Christmas and was wondering if Alclad will have the same affect on resin that it does on plastic. I've never used it on resin before; can someone who has some experience with Alclad on resin provide some advice?

If you prime the resin, I see no reason why Alclad would have any effect on it at all.

I use an ordinary car primer rattle can, with an overcoat of whichever light grey acrylic I have to hand. This gives a nice smooth finish to the primer and prevents having to use too many coats of Alclad to get a decent finish.

Hello Enzo,

Matt or gloss acrylic? Happy New Year.

I use Xtracrylix almost exclusively, so they usually turn out to be a smooth semi-gloss finish. I see no reason why a coat of Klear (aka Future) wouldn't work just as well.

And a Happy New Year to you as well, Geoff.
