Back in the Saddle

Dec 30, 2006 7 Replies

I have recently returned to model building after a 20+ year hiatus.

I mainly concentrate on WWII aircraft with an occasional muscle car. I have a great deal of questions on the subject and currently my only source of information is my monthly edition of FSM maganzine. It's a great resource, but not enough. I am hoping that there is a database or website dedicated to the subject. Also, a glossary of terms would help.

Some general topics that I am trying to educate myself on are:

Painting/weathering with an airbrush Using putty for seams Primer and Clearcoat application Camouflage application General Tricks of the trade

Thanks for any suggestions,

Bill

has a link to Testor's web site where all those topics are covered.

Gday Bill, best bet is to get in touch with your local modelling club and go along to their meetings. Your nearest hobby store should be able to point you in the right direction or, if you let the guys in the newsgroup know which city you are in, chances are one of them will be able to give you the right info.

Anybody have a lead to the frequently asked questions site?? I know there is one for shipmodellers that is referenced here about once a month.

Since modeling is modeling, and the subject at hand is irrelevant in most cases, you could also try
