Cleaning Klear from my airbush - UK question

Hi there

I use Klear to give everything a gloss coat before I put decals onto anything. However, I am not sure what to use to clean the airbrush. I know that the recommendation is Windowlene because of the ammonia. However, I am not sure that the current window cleaning products available in the UK still contain ammonia.

Am I right - if so what should I buy (and where do i get it if it is off the wall) - if I am wrong - i presume that I just buy Classic Windowlene (or whatever it is called).

Can anyone help please.

Take a squizz in your local super market for Windex it has ammonia and alcohol both good for klear . Alternatively look for household ammonia in the laundry section. I just use warm soapy water as long as you clean the airbrush almost straight away b4 the klear dries

Second that, warm soapy water is all I use.

No matter what kind of paint I spray, I clean the airbrush with lacquer thinner. I can get it in most any hardware, automotive or the paint section of a K-Mart. It can be a bit rough on the nose so I always spray it into an old t-shirt or other cloth rag to act as a trap. It is too bad that cleaning station that Testors makes for their Aztec airbrushes doesn't work so well with others.
