What can I use to make Model Master Aluminum Plate Metalizer blue?

So far, I have tested tinted Future over aluminum plate and water based transparent blue over aluminum plate. Both were too easy to flake off when applied over buffed metalizer. I also tried blue magic marker & rubbed it off, which was the best yet but not thick enough of a blue coat.

I think I want to just find a way to turn the metalizer blue before airbrushing instead of this tinted top coat stuff.

Is it hopeless for the Testors metalizers? Should I just switch to Alcad, Gunze, or SnJ?

I've heard of putting on a coat of Metalizer, a coat of Tamiya clear blue acrylic, and then another coat of Metalizer, then buffing through to let the blue show...or just putting the Metallizer over a blue coat.

Never tried it myself, but read of the technique on some of the F1 sites.

You can try adding some Model Master Japenese interor blue (aotake blue) to the metalizer before you spray. (just a LITTLE !)

This should give you what you want.
