Saw some kits today in a model shop. Are these original Dragon tooling, if so how are they?

They are all new tooling, but vary a lot. Some like the M1 are kit versions of the R/C versions with bulges for motors, others have diecast hulls.
Some are not bad such as their Challenger, Tiger I and Bradley.
It all comes down to what you want and what you plan to do with it. If you want to do conversions the ones with metal hulls probably will not work too well.

If you want an AAV-7-A1 in 72nd scale, they're very good. So is the Challenger 2 and the Bradley. The M1-A1 with the mine plough is pretty good, too.
The new Tiger I is supposed to have the newest state of the art Zimmerit... I've only seen photos, and I can't really tell how good it might be.
