Has anyone here ever attended the East Coast Hobby Show at the Fort Washington Expo Center in PA? I'm thinking of trekking out there this coming Sat but don't want to make the 1 1/2 hour trek if its lame.

I went to one quite a few years ago. It was kind of cool seeing some of the movers and shakers in-the-flesh. To tell you how long ago this was, Bill Bosworth was there with Accurate Miniatures! You also get to see some of the up-and-coming kits (oftentimes test shots), and there are a few vendors there so you can pick up some beads and trinkets. While you're in the area make the teek up to Doylestown and check out Herb's Hobbies, or to Lansdale and check out Penn Valley Hobby Shop.

I attended it several times a few years back when members of our club help in Testors' make 'n take's which were held all day long. There weren't too many vendors as I recall but the factory displays were nice to see. Tamiya was there with some RC stuff and there were a bunch of other companies represented. As a *model builder's* event, I'd prefer something else like a contest and there are two good ones going on that day - MosquitoCon in NJ and the Northern Virginia Model Classic/Fest/Fiesta or whatever they call it now. Whatever the name, they're both a good time.
