Filling gaps between wings and fuselage

OK guys, I finished my 1/72 F4U Corsair now. It was my first 1/72 and onlymy third kit I've ever built properly (if you discount the ones I did as akid). I used etched brass for the first time.I owe a lot to this newsgroup for help that everyone has given me - thanksvery much to all of you who helped :-)Overall I'm fairly happy with the result. OK I made *lots* of mistakes but Ilearnt loads and hopefully the next one will be better :-) One thing I'mreally not happy with is the gaps between the wings and the fuselage. Theyaren't huge but they are noticeable. I was suprised as it was a tamiya kit -I thought the fit would be a bit better. I chickened out of filling theparts because I thought it would be difficult to get the filler into thegap, and even harder to sand it.Now I regret not doing it.So can anyone give me some hints on appropriate tools to get the filler intothat gap, and how I can sand it neatly please? I'm not going to bother withthis one because it's painted now and I'll just make a mess of it but I willfor the next one if it needs it.Cheers, Mark.
