Finnish Brewster Buffalos

Hi all,

I hop someone can help me here, I got the Special Hobby 1:32 scale Buffalo in finnish markings. Nice little kit and a nica addition to my models, but I have a question on the lower window.

Almost all profiles shows it as either not present, or at least painted over. Special Hobby indicates to use a clear part for the kit, and painting instructions shows it painted. The kit also includes a grey styrene part to close the hole indicating it has been covered in plating. Only one or two profiles of silver painted ones indicates the window.

The book "Boffalo in Action" doesn't mention this, but pictures looks mostly as if it covered in metal and panined. Their color profiles shows one without framing and one with framing, but painted.

Anyone know anything on this?

From the profile drawings of the book: Brewster 239 part

393 /7 may 43 window painted over

393 /9 aug 43 window painted over 393 /9 sept 43 no window?

Usually windows vere painted over and on some planes they were replaced with cover plate.
