My friends dad was recruited by the OSS from Boston MA. He was later loaned to RAF where he flew with the Polish Squadrons and then flew with the US Air Force after the war. He has wings from the Polish Air Force, RAF and U.S. Air Force. There is a fine line between "Hobby" and "Mental Illness."

I know of a person like that but AFAIK, he volunteered in Canada for the Polish squadrons.
