was to AFV Club -- one of the founding members who split off due to a difference of opinion. Most of the comments on their 1/48 aircraft seem okay and their forthcoming 1/35 scale M4 HST (Long Tom tractor) seem to be outstanding.

Squadron apparently is going to carry them and offer them via MMD.

Hobby Boss make a range of 1/72 "Easy Build" aircraft kits that seem to have been quite well received. They also have a huge list of forthcoming 1/72 aircraft kits that have no mention of "Easy Build" in their descriptions.

In the UK they are 4 quid each, so they will make ideal paint dummies.

They're US$9 here in Seattle. I'm thrilled about the MiG3. The only thing that these kits are lacking, in my opinion, is a decent interior. I was looking at that MiG, and figure on using a Dremel to hog out the interior and slide in detail for the fuselage sides. I'll probably take some resin bits from here and there to busy it up. While being not wholly accurate, it'll look better than bare cockpit walls. It needs a good instrument panel as well.

Fun stuff.

(and the Bf109G-10 has Croatian markings.. that's very cool)
