I have no real use for it. I will have to lay hands on the actual kit before I get your hopes up. No telling where it really is, although I have a pretty good idea.

Been there, had that. The problem for me is all that glass and not much interior. I don't like scratch-building interiors if I can avoid it. And buying aftermarket (assuming it exists) would run me right past the Italeri cost. A kid got my Matchbox and built it and had fun (I hope).

i'm using cheap kits to learn. each kit focus's on an area of building i want to learn. canopies are still the hardes, so i'm doing 1/72. when i get those right, i'll be set.

Yes, if you don't have AMS you have ACS (advanced collector's syndrome.) The trepidation and apprehension of starting one of those "collectable" kits can be squelched by trying to sell one on evilbay; they don't got for much. There's plenty of them out there; Revell AG owns the molds and they'll re-release them. hth

Have ya tried Bare Metal foil as a masking agent?

The rear MG 17 in the Matchbox Me 110 is a little jewel in itself.

if you live long enough waiting for the re-releases. i want 5 of those 110'a. what a little gem of a kit. a vac canopy and some cockpit resin would make it a very polished gem. i'll trade that 1/8 vette for 2, i'll pay shipping.

Make your own with cheap store brand aluminum foil and Microscale/Superscale Foil Adhesive. You can make almost a lifetime supply for the price of one sheet of Bare Metal.

With you on this one, Al. But sometimes, BMF is the best way to fly. Even if it costs about 16 sheep staions for each sheet here in Aussie. (Cause sheep stations are only worth about $1 each, these days!) There are sometimes places that only BMF will go.

I've got the kit with me, #PK-115 Bf-110.D-2/C-3. It is complete: One light blue sprue with all pieces on One brown sprue with all pieces on One bright yellow sprue with all pieces on Clear 3-piece stand Clear one-piece canopy Decals still have the wax paper affixed, but they have not stuck to the decals.

I think I kept it since it was so colorful. I tend to build 1/35 and 1/72 scale armor. What do you have to trade?

sealed mpc 177 dragon 1/72 ar 234 c-3 c-4 lindberg ar 234 me 410 do 335 airfix fairey battle. maybe others. i have 3 1.48 ar 234's, so the 1/72 can go. has photetch, etc.

There's an even simpler and cheaper solution: split the foil used for the wrapping of a chocolate bar. Its adhesion is simply perfect for masking canopies. See my Stuka page for more details, and an example of masking of a multi-panel canopy:

haven't found american candy bars with this.

I don't mean candy bars (Mars, Snickers), I mean 'chocolate-only' bars. At least here in Europe these are packaged in a folded aluminum foil, followed by a paper wrapping. I guess I need to add a photo of it to the web page to make it totally clear.
