Medium Flat Gray Green

I will be building the Ertl/AMT Klingon Bird of Pry D-7 Battlecruiser. Andit calls for Medium Flat Gray Green,unfortunately Testor's doesn't carry this particular color. What ratio ofwhite, gray and green does one use to obtainthis color?Also I have a Revell/Monogram model of the Ford Lincoln Futura that I willbe building in the near future. I havecontacted Ford in the hopes of getting it's original color prior to it'sbeing used in a movie and then later becomingthe Batmobile. If I cannot find the color that it was prior to becoming aHollywood "prop" I plan on painting it CandyApple Red, with flames on the hood.Does anyone know if any one manufactures a kit of the Futura/Batmobile asthe Batmobile in the same scale as theRevell/Monogram Futura? If not, is there a conversion kit that I can use tobuild the Batmobile out of the Futura?I am currently building the Ertl/AMT Shuttlecraft Galileo II, which I planon make a couple of small modifications to.That is that I will be cutting the main door open, as well as the door inthe Aft compartment bulkhead. When I cutopen the main door, I will be using the lower portion for the ramp as it wasin the series. I've been debating withmyself whether or not to glue the upper doors in place behind the mainbulkhead with just a little bit of the doorshowing.Let me know what you think.Digital_Cowboy

The D-7 and Bird of Prey are two differen ships. If you mean the D-7, please check out my mostly finished rebuild of that very kit at my website

I don't know if the color matches the recommendation, but I really like the way it looks. I used Polly Scale's USN Blue-Gray (#505088) straight from the bottle, no mixing, no thinning.

The January '05 FineScale Modeler had a thorough article on converting the Futura to the Batmobile. Their website probably has more info.

I have the same kit and will probably create some sort of diorama. I think your door idea sounds great.

I cut the door out of the Aft bulkhead last night and it came out looking good. Now I just have to refill my airtank so that I can paint the hull inside and out.
