has anyone buildt the old hawk-testors kit? i find their instructions for
attaching the clear part (windshield and side windows) hard to believe.
suggestions?

I remember not gluing it in too well and ending up with a working canopy. (Hey, I was nine.)
I would cut the front from the sides at a frame line and white glue it in three pieces.

The joint at the windscreen top to the wing needs ALOT of trial and error trimming but it can be done to look OK enough. Other than that it goes on fine. I worship these kits! And if I don't find the reissue of the Supermarine floatplane I'm going to have to bust open my original.
