Newbie needs paint help-Acryllic or Enamel or other waterbased paints.

i just bought a chinese 1/16 scale fw 109 and i realize that i can't start assembly until i paint the various parts (prior to assembly). The directions have a color scheme and the colors to use for each part. I am from the old testor enamel school which held that testors would make your model look worse the more time you spent painting and assemblying it. I would like to get a waterbase paint that can be removed from the plastic if i screw up and also be "not shiny" but pretty natural to bring out the fine details of the model parts. I am going to have to air brush eventually aussi. is there a beginners air brush kit (avec directions)? Please let me know what would be best here. Some of the colors specified for the engine for example are : metal black, metal blue, light blue etc. Is there any way i can mix my own non toxic water based paints? thanks in advance.

this was the wrong week to give up airplane glue.

1/16? Wow! Injected plastic? Who makes it? Where can it be bought? Is it an FW-190 or Me-109? What version of either? There isn't an Fw-109.
