I know that random aircraft have been found around the world, in glaciers, bottoms of lakes, etc. Has there ever been an organized search for Dolittle's B-25s ??
thx - Craig

Speaking of the Doolittle Raiders, has anyone ever noticed that at least one of the Doolittle B-25s had a different insignia on the wing than on the side of the body? Particularly #02282 which had the blue circle and white star with the red ball in the center, on the right body side, and on the upper left wing, the circle and star without the red ball. All pictures of the other B-25s on the Hornet deck are taken at a lower angle and cannot be determined if they have the same as #02282, although all appear to have the red ball on the sides, but some appear to lack the red ball on the upper wing. There is one that does have the red ball on the underside of the wing.
