I am still awaiting mine.
Re those 'bypass' doors on the underside of the intake - they are closed under gravity when at rest - they only open on demand from the engine - like a Harrier.
They are hinged at their front face - and can be pushed open by hand - as I have done on a museum example.

Yeah - that was a GREAT mag...wish it were still around.
