Where are the Gloster Meteor F8s from Classic Airframes

They were due for August. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I haven't finished the Aeroclub vac kit yet. The laws of modelling being what they are, it'll come out just after I've finished :)

Do I have offers to hurry?

September 15th, according to Hannants, so you should be seeing them any minute now.

From the Hyperscale forum:

Meteor Update Sun Sep 14 11:04:28 2003

152.163.253.37

Finally... three months after the original scheduled released date, the F.8 has seen the light. They will be available first in the UK from Hannants.

Please note that David Hannants an ardent supporter of this Kit is offering a special version of this release. Kit # 478H which contains extra parts in the form of two types of canopy, both early and late type. This feature is only availabe in the kits that are purchased from Hannants. (This may well become a collectors item)

The normal kit will include only one canopy

Kit # 466 (Early style canopy)

Kit # 478 (Late style canopy)

All kits include both type of engine air intakes (small & large)

I would also point out the excellent decal sheet from Xtradecals with many additional options for markings.

The kits will not arrive in the U.S. for another couple of weeks or so. So if you got to have one right away visit the Hannants web site at

To those that support, my sincere thanks.
