I am trying to create a 3 corner boundary surface in 2007 SP5.
2 edges of the new surface are bounded by other surfaces and the 3rd edge is a free edge controlled by a sketch. All guide curve sketches used are curvature continuous to the bounding surface cuts. The new boundary surface should be at least tangent (curvature continuous prefered) to the adjacent surfaces. I have been trying all combinations of direction 1 and direction 2 curves but always get a "pinched" surface at one of the corners which means I cant thicken the resultant surface.
For example none of the bounding surfaces or guide curves have a curvature of less than R=0.090" yet the surface created gets pinched to a curvature of R=0.002" at one of the corners. If I rearrange the order the other corner gets pinched.
I have heard that 3 corner surfaces can be a problem.
Any guidelines for me please?
I can send a file if anyone wishes
Thanks
