Is it possible to create a block from the lines in a drawing view? How?

Sure - just tried it on 2.1 just to make sure. Draw your lines, select all of them, go to Tools/Block/Make and now it is. On mine it assigned the name of Block1, but that could vary depending on what was already there for block definitions.
