exporting problem Solid works 2000 --> Algor12

I have to export some parts form solid works to Algor for a finite element
analysis...
the on line guide say that I have to save the file in IGS or IGES format...
but when I open these files the image I see is not correct, but totally
wrong...
why??
I have SW2000 and algor12
