Filtering with Google Groups

This newsgroup has become quite irritating to read as of late, and there's about half a dozen people i'd like NOT to see show up in here.. While i check out this place mostly at work for solidworks related questions, we dont have any newsgroup software installed on these machines that would easily allow me to setup filters. Is there a way to filter out users through the google groups? I'm not holding my breath, but if its possible it may just keep me logging on every day. Just seems any solidworks conversation is steered into a pointless flame war that serves absolutly nothing because everyone is a bonehead pursuing their own agendas.. I know this will probably end up in a flame war i'm sure, but just on the off chance i might get some useful information, i may as well try.

I wish. I use Google Groups so that I don't actually have to download the troll dreck directly onto my computer. No screens, though, which is a drag.

Meanwhile, commit to simply not acknowledging the presence or existence of the worst trolls.

This looks promising.

Mozilla Firefox offers no kill switches, however Mozilla Thunderbird does. They are both free downloads. G. De Angelis Valhalla Grafix LTD

Do you not have Outlook Epress installed? - it's free with Windows.

Not if you have half a brain.

While I've got AV software installed, I never get a virus.

Well, if you don't open e-mails, files and attachments that are suspect or are from people you don't know, and are careful which web sites you visit, then the chances of getting infected are really quite small if not zero.

Also avoid cracked software, file sharing schemes, and be the only user of your peecee. If you have kids/teens then buy them their own box and plan on having to nuke it once every three months or so. They will be the ones who get the virii that no AV sopftware knows about yet.
