New User Groups in Virginia

Jan 03, 2004 0 Replies

I'm getting ready to start a SolidWorks user group in Virginia. If you live in this area and would be interested in becoming a presenter, member, casual attender, distant observer or in any way connected with a new group, please post a response with the city where you would prefer to see it meet.

This group will eventually be run independently by users, not through a reseller, although Trimech Solutions employees will be involved in getting the group established and self-sufficient.

I am thinking of starting one each in Richmond and Roanoke or just one in Charlottesville, or maybe even rotating locations, depending on interest. First meeting probably in March, monthly after-work meetings 2-3 hours long, meetings will be free and offer some sort of snack and drinks, content will be technical, not sales, agenda will include open discussion of topics, presentation of a main topic by a member or guest, and other things such as prizes, contests, etc just for fun.

User groups are a great way to learn more about the software, network with potential employees/employers, contractors, customers and vendors, highlight your skills or learn about another industry.

Anyway, respond to this thread with your city of preference.

Thanks!
