OT: looking for a video encoding program

Have a look at "Virtual Dub" (freebie) or Quicktime pro with the mp2 plugin (50$ ??) - between the two you should be able to mess about with pretty much any vid files.

I like to use Windows Movie Maker, WinMPG Video Convert, and Ulead DVD Movie Factory 4.0.

WinMPG Video Convert: It converts my digital camera movies to AVI. Windows Movie Maker: I like to edit using this program. Ulead DVD Movie Factory 4.0.: This creates DVDs and VCDs easily.
