Ok, I have bee using sw2005 sp1.0 for 8 hours now and not one crash!!! Grrr...... The time it took to restart the PC and get sw2004 sp4.2 going again, I could grab a coffee and a natter, but now it looks like I will have to work more, booohoo.... I even tried an assembly that always crashes after an hour's use with 2004 and that didn't crash my system either, Aaahhhh!!!!

Sp 5.0 of 2004 seems to be quite a bit more stable also. I feel your pain.

Any feedback from other folks who have been having lots of crashes? I would love to think that moving to SP5.0 from SP3.0 would make at least some fraction of our problems disappear. (SW05 is probably not int the cards because we don't have time right now to fix the parts built in SW04 that break in SW05.) So far the new year gave one of my colleagues all of 10 minutes before his first CTD. I've got several hours in already without crashing, but for some reason I've been on a roll lately.

Jerry,

SW2004 SP5.0 seems much more stable than what I was using which was SP4.0 or

4.1 (can't remember). I haven't had it crash but once since I installed it on 12/14/2004. I used to have several a day...
